Summer Perfumes

Summer perfumes favor lightness and freshness. Opt for lower concentrations (Eau de Toilette rather than Extrait) that don't overwhelm in the heat. Aquatic, green and hesperidic notes dominate: lemon, bergamot, grapefruit, mint, green tea, cucumber. Heat amplifies fragrances - a light application is more than enough.

Citrus fruits are summer stars: Sicilian lemon for its sparkle, Calabrian bergamot for sophistication, Japanese yuzu for originality. Aquatic notes evoke the sea and pool. Green accords (cut grass, fig leaf) bring natural freshness. White tea and orange blossom offer light and airy elegance.

This year, solar perfumes based on tiaré flower and monoi are particularly popular. Fruity cocktails (mango, lychee, passion fruit) are hugely successful. The 'Mediterranean Escape' trend mixes lavender, rosemary and marine notes. Ultra-light 'Skin Scent' perfumes that resemble clean skin smell are also highly sought after.

For air-conditioned office: allow yourself richer notes like neroli or white tuberose. For the beach: favor waterproof with coconut and light vanilla notes. For summer evenings: dare light florals (jasmine, gardenia) with a woody touch. For sports: focus on minimalist fragrances with lemon and mint.

Heat is the enemy of perfumes. Store your bottles in a cool, dark and dry place - ideally between 15-20°C. Avoid the bathroom (humidity) and windowsill (direct light). For travel, use travel atomizers and keep them in your cabin luggage (controlled temperature). Never leave perfume in a car in full sun.
